I also picked up a PTR barrel with 15x1 threads. However the PTR barrel seems to have a visibly odd barrel profile between the triple tree journal and the muzzle.Sarco sells both G3 and CETME C barrels, both threaded for 5/8-24 muzzle devices. I think their G3 barrel is actually a PTR91 barrel with the larger triple tree journal diameter, but their CETME C barrel is correctly sized for the CETME C triple tree. It's actually a pretty simple process: remove what you can from the old cut receiver, bend the new flat via a jig you buy or 3d print, press the barrel into the trunnion and set "headspace", line everything up and just weld it all together including the new ...Bolt gap is set the same way between the two platforms as well but due to a physical difference in the BCG stackup an HK barrel will sit proud of the trunnion rim around .010" taller than a Cetme. If there is no gap, meaning that the bolt carrier rests directly against the charging handle, the rifle will probably tear its cocking tube off of the receiver during regular use. I already have the trigger job from Bill. I shoot 1.5-2 moa with zqi ammo. I'm just looking to tighten it up a bit and have less stringing with the standard barrel.One big difference is the barrel pressing since the L-barrel presses up to the barrel shoulder and the C doesn't have a shoulder. The bolt gap requirements are hugely different between the C and L as well when it comes to functionality.
